The clients of this spacious center hall Colonial wanted a facelift- one that would bring in more natural light and create a stronger connection to the backyard.
The original circulation to the family room ran directly through the kitchen, and the only access to the deck was from there as well. By introducing a sit-in peninsula, we created clearer space definition within the kitchen, maintained generous working dimensions, and allowed smoother access to the family room without disrupting the flow.
Upstairs, the large primary bedroom was paired with a bathroom that felt too small to function comfortably. By expanding it, we were able to create a more generous bath along with a walk-in closet and dedicated makeup area- elevating both comfort and usability.
