A family of five purchased this home knowing they were ready to invest in tailoring it to their needs.

After exploring several options, they chose to create a primary suite on the third floor, taking advantage of the existing plumbing. Built-in closets were removed to maximize the space, and the small office was sacrificed to expand the bathroom - resulting in a spacious primary bath with a double sink. The remaining portion of the office was repurposed as a laundry room, with the flexibility to become a walk-in closet in the future.

On the first floor, the entry was transformed into a much-needed mudroom for a busy household. The original backyard access ran through the kitchen, interfering with the workflow and taking up valuable space. By eliminating the butler’s pantry, we were able to add a powder room and create a new access point to the backyard that doesn’t disrupt the kitchen. This also allowed for a more functional layout to the kitchen. A comfortable breakfast nook made possible by relocating the basement access.

The result is a home that feels thoughtful and adaptable - designed to support the family’s daily routines today, while allowing flexibility for how their needs may evolve over time.
